La Tia Tula

The desire of being a mother is the subject of "Aunt Tula" the novel of Miguel de Unamuno (1864-1936). This is the name of Gertrudis, the protagonist, who makes all kind of sacrifices to become a mother. The work was published in 1921 and very soon it became one of the preferred novels of the writer. It is remarkable the use of a very subtle erotism in this work, which makes it very different of almost all that was written in Spain at the times.
